Mixing Botanicals with CBD

Many know CBD by its potential to treat a wide variety of symptoms. It might even be helpful in addressing chronic pain, inflammation, anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Along with CBD, there’s an exhaustive list of naturally occurring herbs and botanicals with healing properties. That’s why many CBD brands mix additional botanicals into their products.

How do Botanicals Mix with CBD?

You can blend herbs and botanicals with CBD in a variety of different ways. Whether added to tinctures, included in beauty products, or dried and blended with smokable hemp, there are dozens of herbs that you can enjoy alongside CBD.

Tinctures

At Silver Rain, most of our high-potency CBD tinctures include other botanical extracts in them. We pair these extracts according to the properties apparent in the herb from which they are derived.

For example, our “Sweet Dreams” tincture includes not only CBD, but chamomile and lavender extract, two herbs known for their potential to promote relaxation and act as a sleep aid. Similarly, our “Jump” formula contains peppermint oil and rosemary extract, intended to help reduce inflammation, stimulate circulation, and support an active lifestyle.

In general, we carefully craft all of our CBD tinctures. We always work to include the perfect blend of botanical extracts with the goal of getting the job done.

Topical Products

Like our tinctures, our CBD topicals include natural botanical additives aimed to boost their effectiveness.

Our “Move” joint relief spray utilizes a variety of botanical oils that might contribute to reducing inflammation. Similarly, our “Recharge” muscle relief roll-on includes eucalyptus and menthol to develop a relieving tingling sensation on the skin.

These botanicals not only channel the amazing healing potential of a variety of herbs, but make for many delightfully scented products. With all naturally-derived herbal ingredients, it’s hard to find a product that doesn’t smell amazing.

Smokable Hemp Flower

For those who enjoy smoking, some hemp lovers create their own herbal blends to add to their hemp flower. Similarly to tinctures and topicals, the key to creating these blends is pairing the herbs that are most suited for your wants and needs.

You can create a blend by learning which herbs might provide the properties that you want. It is also important to double check that any herb is safe and comfortable to smoke. Many herbs have extremely potent fragrances, making them best used in modest quantities when smoking.

What Botanicals are Most Beneficial?

Choosing the most beneficial botanicals depends on what you want to gain out of CBD and herbs. Consider the properties attributed to a given herb, and then use this as a guide to pair with hemp and CBD.

Looking at the ingredients lists of CBD tinctures can help you found a better understanding for which botanicals mix well with CBD. Overall, the options are bountiful.
